How My Journey Began
Hi, Iām April Duncan, an NDIS support coordinator with over 20 years of experience in the disability sector. Starting from a support worker, moving over to day programs and then going through as a support coordinator and team lead overseeing a group of support coordinators.
- Excellent outcomes in a day program for people with extremely challenging behaviors and social phobias.
- From traveling in screened vehicles with no community access to small group activities such as independent supermarket shopping and cooking programs.
- Strength based, trauma informed approach. Stay positive, be realistic and aware of limitations and background context. Build on and encourage strengths.
- Empower clients with a strong focus on potential for growth.
